Cloudy conditions to prevail in city till Sep 22

Pune: With skies being cloudy throughout the day in the city on Sunday, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that such weather conditions will prevail till September 22. 

IMD has further predicted that rainfall conditions will prevail in Konkan and Goa, central Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha between September 18 and September 20.

In Pune city, 30.1 degrees Celsius was r ecorded during the day on Sunday. The night temperature was reported to be 20.8 degrees Celsius.Across the State till Sunday, parts of Marathwada, Konkan and Goa and central Maharashtra had reported rainfall in some isolated places.

According to IMD, the southwest monsoon has been subdued over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, coastal and north interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Across the country, heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places are likely over Odisha till September 20. IMD has predicted that heavy rainfall at isolated places is likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and coastal Andhra Pradesh during the same time. Rough to very rough sea conditions are likely over Odisha and West Bengal coast during this time. IMD has warned that fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.
