Pune: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, on Sunday announced the results of IIT-JEE Advanced Examination 2017. Pune student Akshat Chugh bagged All India Rank 2 in the examination. The Joint Engineering Examination is the gateway to IITs, NITs and other centrally funded institutions.

He added, “In order to excel in academics, you need to love to study. Unless you enjoy it, it’s hard to do well.”
Akshat’s father Vikas Chugh said, “Since he was a child, Akshat has always been focused on studies. We have never had to force him to study. Even as he grew older, he had his priorities set and knew what he wants to do in future.” Akshat scored 101 in physics, 112 in chemistry and 122 in mathematics to score 335 out of 366. He wants to pursue his graduation in computer science at IIT Bombay.
