City Pride School Pune supports ‘Rally for Rivers’

Pune: City Pride School in Pune held a special assembly in support of ‘Rally for Rivers’ initiated by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev - Isha Foundation last week. Children of Std VII performed a skit named ‘Jeevan Dayini Nadiya’ during the assembly. 

The skit delivered a clear message about the real and alarming situation of depletion of rivers and measures to control it. The skit sensitised the children towards the protection of our rivers and what could be done at our level to resolve this problem.

After the skit, a speech was given to create awareness about the same and also detailed information was provided to the students on the campaign ‘Rally for Rivers’. 

Later, a special pledge was taken by all the students of the school. Children were motivated to support the campaign by giving a missed call on 8000980009. 

Just after the assembly a PPT presentation ‘Our Rivers - Our Lifelines’ was shown to the children on the campaign. A creative writing competition was conducted for the students of Std V, VI and VII by Isha Foundation.
