City’s temperature to rise further

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will remain clear in the city till April 12. The maximum temperature will be as high as 38 degrees and minimum temperature will vary between 17 to 20 degrees Celsius.

PUNE: Though the city experienced cloudy weather on Friday, there was no respite from the heat as night temperatures since the past few days have been as high as 22 degrees Celsius. Pune recorded a minimum temperature of 21.5 degrees Celsius on Friday and a maximum temperature of 37.1 degrees Celsius.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will remain clear in the city till April 12. The maximum temperature will be as high as 38 degrees and minimum temperature will vary between 17 to 20 degrees Celsius.  

The highest maximum temperature in the State was at 41.9 degrees Celsius in Wardha and the lowest minimum was 18.8 degrees Celsius in Ahmednagar. 

IMD has forecast that on April 8, central Maharashtra, Marathwada and southern Konkan and Goa may witness strong winds and thunderstorms. Some places in Vidarbha may also witness stormy winds and thunderstorms. IMD has also forecast that for April 9 and April 10, thunderstorm accompanied with squall and hail is likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Thunderstorm accompanied with squall likely at isolated places over north Uttar Pradesh, Punjab Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.

UNSEASONAL RAINFALL CONTINUES
Heavy rainfall and hailstorm was reported at Latur on Friday. IMD has forecast that on April 8, central Maharashtra, Marathwada and southern Konkan and Goa may witness strong winds and thunderstorms. Some places in Vidarbha may also witness stormy winds and thunderstorms.
