Citizens urged to adopt feeders, fill water pots

On the occasion of World Sparrow Day on March 20, Roseland Residency took initiative to install nest boxes, bird feeders and water pots at Linear Garden (Kokane Chowk to Swaraj Chowk) in Pimple Saudagar. 

Pune: On the occasion of World Sparrow Day on March 20, Roseland Residency took initiative to install nest boxes, bird feeders and water pots at Linear Garden (Kokane Chowk to Swaraj Chowk) in Pimple Saudagar. 

This event was volunteered by representatives such as Jigna Shah, Lion Orbit Society, Chandan Chaurasia, Roseland Residency with all the staffers. This event also saw participation of senior citizens, who promised to adopt the nest boxes, bird feeders and water pots. 

Corporators Nana Kate, Shatrughan Kate and Nirmala Kute participated in the event. Chandan Chaurasia of Roseland Residency urged people to adopt nest boxes, bird feeders and water pots and also to fill water pots during summer as many birds die due to dehydration. 

Feeders, nest boxes and water pots are being made available by Nature Forever Society and Roseland Residency free of cost.
