CISF plants 1,910 saplings

PUNE: On the occasion of ‘Van Mahotsav’ from July 1 to 7, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) unit of Pune airport planted 1,910 saplings in Lohegaon area. CISF is celebrating the jubilee year of its formation and organising various programmes for betterment of society.

Apart from providing security to vital installations, the CISF is always active in participating in social causes like tree plantation and blood donation.

PUNE: On the occasion of ‘Van Mahotsav’ from July 1 to 7, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) unit of Pune airport planted 1,910 saplings in Lohegaon area. CISF is celebrating the jubilee year of its formation and organising various programmes for betterment of society.

Apart from providing security to vital installations, the CISF is always active in participating in social causes like tree plantation and blood donation.

On the occasion of ‘Van Mahotsav’ all CISF units across the country are planting saplings to protect the environment and hence contributing to the social cause. In Pune, the CISF unit of the airport planted a total of 1,910 saplings of various species of forest trees near the Harintale area of Lohegaon.

In this noble cause the CISF unit is well supported by the Forest Department and Gram Panchayat of Lohegaon. Deputy Commandant SK Bajpai, Inspector MK Sinha and Inspector RK Agnihotri along with 80 CISF personnel took part in  planting saplings. 

Dy Commandant Bajpai told Sakal Times, “CISF always looks forward to contributing as much as the force can for the betterment of society apart from providing security. CISF takes it as its social responsibility and the personnel feel happy in joining this type of noble activities.”
