CBSE Std X, XII timetables are not balanced: Students

Pune: Just a day after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the date sheet or the examinations timetables for Std X and XII for 2017-18, the board has received a flak from many students calling the timetable ‘unbalanced’.

Many students have expressed rage over the microblogging platform Twitter, especially because the physical education paper in the board exam is preceded by JEE Mains exam that is scheduled to be held on April 8.
The students feel that this will leave the students exhausted for an important paper like physical education, which isn’t fair.

The students have also started a petition on change.org requesting the board to reschedule the physical education paper.

The Std X exam will be held from March 5 to April 4, 2018, while Std XII board exams will be held from March 5 to April 12, 2018.

Many Std XII students have also said that no appropriate number of preparation days have been allotted to even important papers. For instance, the papers of physics, accountancy, philosophy have just a day of preparation gap, which the students find insufficient. The students have also pointed out that there is no gap between psychology and humanities papers.

The students have also lashed out at the board for the delay in releasing the date sheet for the examinations.
