Pune: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised its evaluation process for the assessment of Class X and XII answer sheets this year. Now, the answer sheets will not be evaluated by a single teacher, but also by assistant head examiners.

The decision has been taken for more accurate evaluation of the answer sheets, CBSE said. Last year, the board had faced criticism after there were reports of negligence in paper correction. The evaluation for Class X and XII students began on March 19 and is expected to continue till the end of April. Also, due to some textual error, the CBSE is considering giving bonus marks to students of Std X in the English paper.
