Pune: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the Std X results on Tuesday.
The results will be available on their website, results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in, and www.cbse.nic.in from 4 pm onwards.
Anil Swarup, Education secretary tweeted that the results of CBSE Std X will be declared at 4 pm on May 29.
A total of 16,38,428 students had appeared for the board exam this year. Out of the total number of students, 6,71,103 were girls and 4,510 were differently abled students.
The Std X exam was conducted at 4,453 centres across India and 78 centres outside the country.
Earlier, students had the option to not appear for Std X CBSE exams while from this year it has been made mandatory. After seven years the Board had done away with Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation (CCE) and decided to conduct Board examinations for Class X again.
Thus, as a one-time measure for this batch, the current batch that is taking the examination with five main subjects (with 20 marks as internal assessment component as per scheme of studies) may be exempted from mandatory separate pass criteria in subjects having component of 20 marks in internal assessment and Board examination of 80 marks.
