Cash van driver flees with Rs 74 lakh

Pune: The driver of a cash management firm allegedly decamped with Rs 74 lakh cash which was to be deposited in Axis Bank's ATM in Rahatani on Wednesday afternoon. Later, the van was found in Bhosari but the driver and the cash were missing. 

The police have launched a search for the driver, identified as Ranjit Dharmraj Korekar, a native of Narewadi in Solapur district, who currently resided at Dighi.

The police have launched a search for the driver, identified as Ranjit Dharmraj Korekar, a native of Narewadi in Solapur district, who currently resided at Dighi. 

According to the police, the incident took place at around 2 pm. As soon as the security guards and other employees alighted from the van at the ATM, Korekar allegedly started the vehicle and sped away. With the help of CCTV footage, the police are searching for the driver.
