Breastfeeding centre to come up on MG Road

The centre will spread across 1,000 sq ft and will have four compartments, a waiting room and a toilet and the cost of the project is around Rs 20 to 25 lakh. 

PUNE: Soon, the busy MG Road will get a breastfeeding centre. Priyanka Shrigiri, Vice President of PCB, will develop the centre for young mothers.

This centre will be operational in two to three months and it will be on the premises of Cantonment court. The centre will spread across 1,000 sq ft and will have four compartments, a waiting room and a toilet and the cost of the project is around Rs 20 to 25 lakh. 

Shrigiri said, “Mostly, the women who travel along with their infants face inconvenience while breastfeeding them.”

“Hence, the centre will allow them to feed their infants easily and they will not face any inconvenience which they usually face in public places,” she added. 

“Currently, a plan on paper is ready and soon the structure will also come into existence and it will be for free,” she added while speaking about the breastfeeding centre which will come up on MG Road.
