Book on Ambedkar and Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil released

Speaking on the occasion, Pawar said, “Shankaracharya had mentioned that 1,000 years ago Kaliyug started and it put restrictions on various religious practices. The effects of this restrictions were seen in later years with a deterioration of social, economic and educational values."

PUNE: On the occasion of 61st death anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, a book on ‘Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil - A Comparative Study’ by Sanjivani Mujumdar, Director of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum and Memorial, Symbiosis Society was released by Chairperson of Sakal Media Group, Pratap Pawar at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum and Memorial on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Pawar said, “Shankaracharya had mentioned that 1,000 years ago Kaliyug started and it put restrictions on various religious practices. The effects of this restrictions were seen in later years with a deterioration of social, economic and educational values. When Babar and British invaded India, it saw a deteriorated cultural values. Earlier, the society was rigid and conservationist. Today, though there is a decrease in it, it has not rooted out from the society completely.”

SB Mujumdar, Founder and President of Symbiosis Society, AV Sangamnerkar, Vice-President of Symbiosis, Sanjivani Mujumdar, Director of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum and Memorial, Symbiosis Society and Rajani Gupte, Vice-Chancellor of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) were present at the event.

“Ambedkar always had his feet on the ground and was a humble person due to which he asked people not to refer to him as a super-human, yet people did. He had a great personality,” said Pawar.

“I got the opportunity to grow up under the guidance of Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil. Since Mai Ambedkar handed over Ambedkar’s things to Symbiosis our connections strengthened from then,” said Sanjivini Mujumdar.
