The employees have demanded the immediate release of Marathe and other officials of BoM

Pune: In the wake of the arrest of senior officials of Bank of Maharashtra (BoM), including its chairman Ravindra Marathe, in the DSK fraud case, employees of the bank wrote to State Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis demanding their immediate release.

All India BoM Employees Federation has written to the Chief Minister that the State government machinery has overstepped its domain and has arrested Marathe and other officials. Keeping these officials in police custody is bad in law as well as in practice.

The letter further states that the Bank officials have always cooperated with the government machinery in their investigations and have never protected culprits but in this instance (DSK fraud case), the way in which bank officials have been taken into police custody and are subjected to action is inexplicable and has resulted in anger and anguish throughout the financial world.

The employees have demanded the immediate release of Marathe and other officials of BoM. They also demanded that the FIR registered against them be quashed.
