BNCA to conduct course on ‘garden design and devp’

The aim of this course is to provide training and guidance in garden development and maintenance to the people from varied backgrounds who are interested in the subject

Pune: Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha’s (MKSSS) Dr BN College of Architecture for Women (BNCA), Pune is going to conduct a 10-day intensive part time course on ‘garden design and development’ starting from July 24 to August 2.

The aim of this course is to provide training and guidance in garden development and maintenance to the people from varied backgrounds who are interested in the subject.

“The course mainly focuses on aspects of planting right from the seed sowing and potting to some of the latest concepts like bottle gardens, organic farming, terrace gardening, medicinal plants etc,” said Professor of Department of Landscape Architecture, Anupama Khatavkar.

“Earlier, the course was for a duration of six months and was conducted on Saturdays and Sundays. Many professionals and others were not able to attend it regularly. Hence, we have reduced it to 10 days at a stretch,” said Khatavkar.
