Bike rally to Lucknow to mark Shivaji Jayanti

Pune: The Marathi Samaj of Uttar Pradesh is organising a motorcycle rally on February 13 from Shivneri Fort in Junnar to Lucknow to mark Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on February 19.

Around 200 bikers including women participants will ride for seven days from Junnar to reach Lucknow. Almost 60 per cent of the riders are from Maharashtra, while 40 per cent are from Uttar Pradesh.

The rally will be inaugurated by Satara Member of Parliament Udyanraje Bhosale. Former chief minister of Maharashtra Prithviraj Chavan, Minister of State for Water Resources Vijay Shivtare, Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Development Mahadev Jankar, Minister of State for Social Justice Dilip Kamble and Vice President of Marathi Samaj Vishwanath Devkar will be present at the inauguration.

On reaching Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will welcome the rally participants
