Pune: Claiming India to be a huge potential market for fertilisers, Prayon SA, a Belgian company, has decided to expand in the Indian market and has launched its range of fertigation products for horticulture applications. While addressing a press conference, Akash Barthakur, Prayon SA Regional Head-South Asia said that the product includes Micro Nutri Fe, Anti Calc, Monopotassium Phosphate (MKP) and Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP).

Akash highlighted that though the Asia market is small currently, Prayon SA is expanding and working on boosting the sale in the Indian market. Speaking on the product launch, Akash said that MAP dissolves quickly to provide nitrogen and phosphorus to plants at all stages of growth, Micro Nutri Fe contains Iron which is essential for plant development, MKP provides phosphorus and potassium to plants while Anti Calc helps in irrigation by declogging hard water.

Akash assured that the products are safe and tested on various parameters. Kishor Gaikwad, Director of INDICHEM (the distributor company of Prayon products), said that INDICHEM is engaged in import and marketing of specialty fertilisers and chemicals used in professional horticulture, agriculture and hydroponics manufactured by Prayon.
“We are been trained on how to use the product and our employees are graduates. The training knowledge is then given to the end users,” he added.

Dave Pinxteren, Development and Application Manager at Prayon  said, “Micro Nutri Fe is a revolutionary and innovative product designed to increase the efficient uptake of iron in plants supported on a platform of phosphate and potassium.”

A world leader in the production of phosphates, Prayon has decades of experience in technologies related to water-soluble fertilisers.
