Bapat plans frequent visits to PCMC after NCP allegations

Pimpri: Taking cognisance of the Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP) allegation that Guardian Minister Girish Bapat is avoiding visiting Pimpri Chinchwad, Bapat is now seen frequently visiting the city.

Last week, NCP alleged that Bapat was absent for the inaugural function of all development works despite his name on the invitation card. After the allegation, Bapat recently visited PCMC twice and will visit again this week.

Bapat inaugurated Late Shankarrao Gawade Kamgar Bhavan in Thergaon on Sunday and also inaugurated Empire Estate Flyover on Monday. His another visit has been planned this week, where he will unveil the statue of Shahid Hemu Kalani in Pimpri Camp.

Bapat not only attended inauguration ceremony but also claimed that he likes Pimpri Chinchwad and added that he will conduct frequent meetings for city’s development related issues. NCP City Unit Chief Sanjog Waghere had alleged that Bapat was purposely avoiding visiting PCMC.
