Ayushi Aggarwal, wife of the main accused in Rs. 3,700-cr online trading scam, arrested in Pune

Pune: Ayushi Aggarwal, wife of Anubhav Mittal, the main accused in Rs 3,700-cr online trading scam, was arrested from Pune by Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF).

Ayushi is being taken to Ghaziabad in UP after a magistrate court granted her transit remand.

Police officials said that she was arrested from a flat in Sai Ganga society in Undri under Kondhwa police station.

"Earlier UP Police had searched for her in Karnataka. Later they came here on Monday and arrested her after a joint search with our team. She was produced before a court which granted transit remand to take her to UP", said senior police inspector Milind Gaikwad, incharge of the police station.

Anubhav’s father Sunil Mittal is one of the two directors of the company while Ayushi was made an additional director of Ablaze Info Solutions, after she got married to Anubhav and were directly responsible for the affairs of the company.

Sunil and Anubhav had been arrested by UP STF in February while Ayushi had been absconding.

Anubhav (26) is accused of swindling Rs 3,700 crore from 7 lakh people, who were promised handsome returns by clicking on web links, in one of the biggest internet scams in recent times.

Sunil, 50, belongs to Pilkhuwa town in UP’s Hapur district and operated a small electrical shop, Mittal Electronics, in Kishanganj Mohalla. Anubhav’s grandfather Ved Prakash runs a small grocery shop that sells household items like sugar, salt, oil among others.
