Around 5,800 students take admissions after round 3

Pune: After the third round for the admissions to Std XI under the online Centralised Admission Process (CAP), a total of 5,801 students in Pune region took admissions at the colleges allotted to them in the third merit list.

In the merit list that was declared on July 31, a total of 17,152 students were allotted colleges, out of which 5,746 were allotted the colleges of their first preference.

While there are four general rounds of admissions, which sometimes get increased to five, students who do not get the colleges of their preference usually wait until the last round of admissions so that they get the college that they best preferred.

While the colleges will be releasing their cut-offs and number of vacant seats on August 3, the students will be able to edit their forms (preference list) on August 3 and 4. The students who have not yet entered the process can do so on these days by filling Part 1 and 2 of the form. The fourth and possibly the last merit list of the regular round will be released on August 7. After the admissions in this round take place, the colleges will upload the number of bifocal admissions at the college level on August 10 and 11.
