Army jawan martyred in Jammu & Kashmir

Pune: A 20-year-old Army jawan from Parbhani district was martyred in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, during firing by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control (LOC). Sepoy Shubham Suryakant Mustapure’s mortal remains will reach his native place around noon on Wednesday. 

Pune: A 20-year-old Army jawan from Parbhani district was martyred in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, during firing by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control (LOC). Sepoy Shubham Suryakant Mustapure’s mortal remains will reach his native place around noon on Wednesday. 

According to Army officials, Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics & mortars from 7 am in Krishna Ghati sector along the Line of Control (LOC). Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively. However, in the exchange of fire, Sepoy Mustapure was grievously injured and succumbed to his injuries. 

Mustapure belonged to Konerwadi village in Palam taluka of Parbhani district. A pall of gloom descended upon the village after news of his martyrdom was received.  He is survived by his father Suryakant who is farmer and mother Sunita and two younger brothers. He had joined Army in 2016.

In a statement, Army said, “Sepoy Shubham Suryakant Mustapure was a brave and sincere soldier. The nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty.”
