Army Chief Rawat reviews operational preparedness of Southern Command

Rawat was briefed by Lieutenant General DR Soni, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Command. Thereafter, he addressed all officers of Pune military station and interacted with them.

PUNE: Army Chief General Bipin Rawat visited Headquarters Southern Command on April 25 and 26 to review the operational preparedness and take an update on the current operational and administrative issues pertaining to Southern Command. He was accompanied by his wife Madhulika Rawat, President, Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA).

Rawat was briefed by Lieutenant General DR Soni, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Command. Thereafter, he addressed all officers of Pune military station and interacted with them.

His wife Madhulika visited ‘Protsahan’, a skill development centre of Southern Command which imparts training to empower wives of Army personnel. She was accompanied by Dr Suman Soni, regional president of AWWA Southern Command. She was shown various vocational training courses being conducted at Protsahan Centre. Rawat and his wife departed for New Delhi on Thursday.
