Pune: Social activist Jignesh Mevani from Gujarat, who has led campaigns by Dalits and other social movements, held a discussion with youngsters at Rashtra Seva Dal Auditorium recently, raising questions on some issues which have not been fulfilled yet by the Modi government

The youngsters had come for the discussion after reading the post on social media and some were from Abhyasika Vidhyarthi Sangh, Ghorpadi.

The main aim of this discussion was to identify certain areas where the government had promised to work on various developments including job opportunities, some measures for farmers and many similar things after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, but no such progress has been seen yet on a large scale.

Mevani said, “Problems like unemployability, killings of Muslims and Dalits and farmers’ suicide cases are some of the recurring problems which have not been  solved by the government.”

Akshay Raut, a member of Abhyasika Vidhyarthi Sangh, said, “We can start a movement after identifying the problems like people in the city not getting proper food, clothing and education along with employability problems and then, question the government.”
