92nd  Military Nursing Service raising day celebrated

The General Officer reiterated that the MNS is an integral and glorious service of the armed forces, with an enduring ability to deliver effective nursing care to the sick and wounded, despite all constraints, since its formation.

PUNE: The nursing officers of Military Nursing Service (MNS) in Pune celebrated their 92nd Raising Day on October 1. On this occasion, Lieutenant General P Mohammed Hariz, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, extended his greetings to all nursing officers of the Military Nursing Service and their families.

The General Officer reiterated that the MNS is an integral and glorious service of the armed forces, with an enduring ability to deliver effective nursing care to the sick and wounded, despite all constraints, since its formation.

The raising day was celebrated with fervour and enthusiasm by all nursing officers. The day started with formal gatherings at the respective nursing officers mess and the MNS officers rededicated themselves to the service by pledging the Nurse’s Oath.

The evening was marked by a colourful social gathering hosted by Brigadier KK Xavier, Brig MNS, Headquarter, Southern Command and all nursing officers of Pune. A large number of dignitaries including Chief Guest Lieutenant General Hariz attended the event.
