8-month-old baby kidnapped from rly stn

Pune: An eight-month-old girl was kidnapped from Pune railway station on Monday evening. The woman who kidnapped the girl was captured on CCTV and a case has been registered with the Government Railway Police (GRP), Pune station.

Manoj Khandale, Senior PI, GRP said, “The girl’s parents are from Akkalkot in Solapur district and had come to Pune to work as daily wage labourers. The girl’s mother filed the police complaint. They were staying at a dargah in the premises of railway station.”

“The accused woman introduced herself as a helper and promised to assist them in getting work. She provided clothes for the girl. On Monday evening, the accused told the mother and father to go and have dinner while she looked after the girl. We are investigating the case,” said Khandale.

The girl was wearing a yellow frock and silver earrings. The accused lady is about 30 to 35 years old and was wearing a blue sari.
