57-yr-old woman dies of swine flu

Pimpri: Swine flu claimed its latest victim in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Thursday, taking the death toll to 37 since January this year. A 57-year-old woman living in Pimpri is the latest victim of the deadly respiratory infection. 

The victim developed influenza-like symptoms a week ago and was admitted to a private hospital in the city on the same day.

Since her condition worsened, she was put on ventilator. On Monday, she succumbed to the infection. On Tuesday, nine new positive cases of swine flu have been detected in the city.
