53-year-old man dies after tempo rams his bike on Nashik Highway

Pune: A 53-year-old man who was riding a two-wheeler died in a road mishap near Moshi Chowk in Bhosari late on Thursday evening after a tempo rammed into him.

The deceased, who was identified as Subhash Bhakare (53), was a resident of Sanyog Nagar in Jadhavwadi area of Bhosari. Bhakare was riding his two-wheeler on the Nashik-Pune Highway when the fatal accident took place.

The deceased, who was identified as Subhash Bhakare (53), was a resident of Sanyog Nagar in Jadhavwadi area of Bhosari. Bhakare was riding his two-wheeler on the Nashik-Pune Highway when the fatal accident took place.

Bhakare’s bike was rammed by a tempo driven by one Nanuram Dawar (40), a native of Indore in Madhya Pradesh. According to officials from the MIDC Bhosari police station, the accused was driving the tempo recklessly and at a high speed.

The MIDC Bhosari police have arrested Dawar and booked him under section 304 A (Punishment for causing death due to negligence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), besides various other relevant sections of the IPC and the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
