Pune: While the city police have appealed to citizens of Pune to come forward to raise complaints if they have been cheated in the Bitcoin scam which was being run by engineer and the author of ‘Cryptocurrency for Beginners’ Amit Bhardwaj, till date around 50 persons have lodged complaints of being cheated in the bitcoin scam.
Investigations in the massive scam have revealed that over 8,000 people were cheated in the scam and the number is bound to increase, informed police sources.
The police have till now arrested ten persons in the case including kingpin Amit Bhardwaj who ran the ponzi scheme and his brother Vivek Bhardwaj.
