Pune: The second day of the hospitality event Atithya 2018, organised by AISSMS College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology saw college students participating in five competitions.
The day started with mind buster quiz, Eduvator Match Thy Wits, where participants were judged on Core Hospitality and General Knowledge.
Participants enjoyed Suhana Get Set Cook competition, a relay cooking of three-course menu with a surprise basket of ingredients, which was judged by Chef Sachin Joshi, Executive Chef, Vivanta by Taj, Pune. Chef Navtej Sahani, Proprietor, Arthurs Theme (restaurant) and Gaurav Gite, Marrakesh Hospitality Pvt Ltd, judged the students on Best Sellers Menu matrix and motivated them for innovative techniques.
Food and Beverage service competition Sula CraftsMENUship, a table set up the challenge, was judged by Yogita Waghmare, Revenue Manager, Four Points by Sheraton and Edward D’Almeida, Restaurant Manager, Westin.
Kareer Krafters Market Buzz, an innovative hospitality marketing plan for tangible or intangible hospitality product was the last event evaluated by Surabhi Jain, Professor, PUMBA and Pallavi Chauhan, Head Marketing, Vodafone.
