45-yr-old man held for stealing autorickshaw

The accused has been identified as Avinash Bodhe (45), a resident of Kasba Peth. Bodhe stole the vehicle belonging to one Sunil Sapkal (43), a resident of Shivajinagar, after forcefully evicting out the latter from his autorickshaw worth Rs 1.80 lakh.

PUNE: A man has been arrested by the Deccan police for stealing an autorickshaw on Tuesday evening at Shirole Road in Shivajinagar.

The accused has been identified as Avinash Bodhe (45), a resident of Kasba Peth. Bodhe stole the vehicle belonging to one Sunil Sapkal (43), a resident of Shivajinagar, after forcefully evicting out the latter from his autorickshaw worth Rs 1.80 lakh.

As per information provided by Deccan police, the incident occurred at around 7 pm in the evening in front of Surya Hotel. The complainant was approached by the accused, who assaulted him and threw him out of the auto and fled with the vehicle.

The complainant reported the matter to police on Friday after which they managed to arrest the accused.
