Pune: A 35-year-old man died in a road mishap near Khadi Machine Chowk in Kondhwa on Friday. The man was rammed to death by a speeding truck which sped away after the accident.
The deceased was identified as Prakash Mane (35) who died on the spot. The identity of the truck driver is not known to the police.
According to Kondhwa police, the truck driver violated the traffic rules and was coming from the wrong side of the road. He was driving at a high speed and lost his control which led to the collision.
A case has been registered against the unknown bus driver under Section 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way), 304 A (Causing death by negligence) of the IPC. Kondhwa police are further investigating the case.
