3 arrested for cheating jeweller

Police have also booked five more persons in the case including two bank managers of Janta Sahkari bank in Pune. As per the case filed by a jeweller, Vaibhav Dhamankar, from Satara, eight of the accused took a loan of Rs 2.55 crore against fake gold of 13.6 kg. The incident occurred between July to September this year

Pune: Officials of the Khadak police station arrested three persons for allegedly cheating a jeweller to the tune of Rs 2.55 crore by taking a loan against gold ornaments, which was later found to be fake gold. The arrested accused have been identified as Amar Bhosale (35), Sameer Inamdar (32) and Vasanti Jadhav (37). Police have also booked five more persons in the case including two bank managers of Janta Sahkari bank in Pune. As per the case filed by a jeweller, Vaibhav Dhamankar, from Satara, eight of the accused took a loan of Rs 2.55 crore against fake gold of 13.6 kg. The incident occurred between July to September this year. Following the incident, police arrested three accused and are in search of five more. The arrested accused were produced in court on Friday and were sent to police custody.
