2nd merit list of CAP released; 1,578 students get admission

Pune: After the second merit list for the admissions to Std XI (FYJC) through online Centralised Admission Process (CAP) was released on Thursday, a total of 1,578 students were given admission on day 1 of the second round of admissions. 

Out of the 3,778 applicants eligible for the second merit list for bifocal, 1,239 were allotted the college of their first preference. 

“As the rule stands that it’s mandatory for the students who are allotted the college of their first preference to take admissions in this round itself, they have time till Friday, June 29, till 5 pm to get their admissions done at the respective colleges,” Minakshi Raut, President, Std XI online Centralised Admission Process Committee said.

“Apart from these, those who have been allotted colleges from preference number 2 to 10 have the option of either taking admissions or waiting for the third merit list for an improvement,” Minakshi added.

The junior colleges, too, are instructed to upload the number of admissions in the given time itself. 

The admissions to Std XI through the centralised process is taking place in the municipal regions of Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Aurangabad, Amravati and Nagpur. 

The admissions under bifocal are given in two streams – Science and 
Commerce.
