2D Echo machine donated by CybageAsha to Sassoon Hosp

PUNE: Cybage’s philanthropic arm, CybageAsha, collaborated with Sassoon General Hospital to open a Cybage 2D Echo Centre. The centre is equipped with latest technology a 2D Echo machine that to help take clearer images of heart, aiding proper treatment of heart ailments.

Upon learning that the cardiac department at Sassoon Hospital was facing difficulties in performing echocardiography tests due to an outdated 2D Echo machine, they decided to provide financial aid for an advanced 2D Echo machine costing Rs 47 lakh. CybageAsha was informed about the need by a few student beneficiaries of parallel academic philanthropy wing of the company CybageKhushboo. These students are pursuing their medical education at the BJ Medical College, an affiliate of the hospital.

Dr Sudhir Nanandkar, Dean BJ Medical College said, “We are grateful to CybageAsha for this benevolent contribution towards our as this will enhance our diagnosis and help facilitate better treatment for the patients. We urge charitable organisations and individual donors to support the hospital for improving our existing medical facilities.” 

Speaking on the contribution to the cardiac department, Ritu Nathani, Director-Cybage and Head-Cybage CSR said, “The new 2D Echocardiogram machine is a heartfelt donation to support the highly skilled doctors in the hospital achieve a proper diagnosis of the patient’s heart.” 

The dignitaries present for the inauguration of the Centre were, Jaikrishnan K SVP - Operations, Cybage, Dr Dilip Mhaisekar, Chancellor-Maharashtra Arogya Vigyan Vidyapeeth; Dr Sudhir Nanandkar, Dean BJ Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital.
