2 special forces soldiers hurt during Raising Day event

Pune: Two special forces soldiers sustained minor injuries in combat demonstrations at the Race Course on Saturday, during 124th Raising Day celebrations of the Pune-headquartered Army’s Southern Command. Officials said that both the soldiers were rushed to Command Hospital, and are now said to be stable. 

“Another soldier had to open his reserve parachute as his main parachute didn’t open during the para jumping and there was a hard landing at another place than his designated space. However, he is not injured,” officials claimed.

A senior officer told Sakal Times, “All the troops from 10 Para Special Forces safely landed during the para jump. One of the jeeps of the special forces overturned, wherein one soldier hurt his back while another soldier sustained minor injuries on his hand. Both are fine now.”
