2 robberies reported in Bavdhan this week

In yet another case of robbery, a 28-year-old man was assaulted and robbed by four youths in Bavdhan on Tuesday evening. Complainant Haridas Gaikwad was driving his car in Bavdhan and while passing near a showroom, he was stopped by four-person on two different bikes. 

Pune: In yet another case of robbery, a 28-year-old man was assaulted and robbed by four youths in Bavdhan on Tuesday evening. Complainant Haridas Gaikwad was driving his car in Bavdhan and while passing near a showroom, he was stopped by four-person on two different bikes. 

“The accused asked Haridas as to why he was honking while overtaking them. Following this, the accused started assaulting Haridas. He was also flogged with a belt by the accused, who decamped before robbing him of Rs 1,300,” the Hinjewadi police said.

In a similar incident, a 25-year-old man who was heading towards his home after attending a party was beaten up and robbed by three unidentified persons near Balewadi stadium on Sunday evening. 
Complainant Palash Chincholikar told Hinjawadi police that while he was on his way home, he was approached by three persons on a two-wheeler who attacked him with an iron rod. 

The Hinjewadi police said that the three unidentified persons were on a two-wheeler and snatched the victim’s ATM to withdraw Rs 9,200 from his account. The accused also robbed Palash of his mobile and sports shoes. Assistant Police Inspector G Dhamne from Hinjewadi police station is investigating both the cases.
