2 persons held for impersonation and  cheating three youths

The accused snatched two mobile phones and Rs 10,000 cash and fled from the spot.

Pune: Officials of the Khadak police station have lodged a case of impersonation and cheating against two unidentified persons for allegedly cheating three persons of two mobile phones and cash of Rs 10,000 near Pacific Mall on Shankar Sheth Road on Friday night. 

According to information given by the Khadak police, the incident occurred at around 10.30 pm when the two accused pretended to be police officials and frisked the three complainants - Ajimuddin Khan, Luchingba Singh and Thodam Singh - all students from Manipur, studying BA in Pune. The three had gone shopping. The impersonators accused the three of coming to Pune for selling arms and drugs. 

As the three were taking out their identity cards, the accused snatched two mobile phones and Rs 10,000 cash and fled from the spot. The complainants then approached the Khadak police and lodged a case of cheating.
