2 booked for throwing acid at man in Chakan

Both were infuriated with Mishra and decided to attack him with acid.

Pune: Two persons have been booked for throwing acid at a man over a minor argument. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning at Nanekar Wadi in Chakan.

The accused have been identified as Ravi Bhagat and Baban Bhagat, both residents of Nanekar Wadi who threw acid at complainant Ajay Mishra (26), also a resident of Nanekar Wadi.

The three of them worked with Super Auto India Ltd in Chakan. 
Mishra had a minor argument with Ravi and Baban eight days ago.

Both were infuriated with Mishra and decided to attack him with acid.

According to the police, the complainant was attacked at 5 am on Tuesday. The accused threw at him the acid used to wipe paint.

Mishra sustained severe injuries and was admitted to a private hospital where he is under treatment.

The police registered a case under section 326A  (Voluntarily causing hurt by use of acid, etc.) of Indian Penal Code against the two accused.
