According to the passengers waiting for the flight at Pune airport, the staff of the airline are not cooperating with passengers

Pune: As many as 178 passengers were stranded at the Pune airport for over five hours due to the delay in Bengaluru-bound Go Air G8 242 flight. The flight was scheduled to depart from the Pune airport at 6.40 pm.

Due to heavy rainfall in Mumbai causing massive disruption in flight operations, air services at the Mumbai airport were badly hit, with 108 flights cancelled and another 51 diverted to nearby airports till Wednesday morning due to heavy rains and closure of the main runway after a Spice Jet aircraft skidded, overshot the runway and got stuck in mud, blocking it.

According to the passengers waiting for the flight at Pune airport, the staff of the airline are not cooperating with passengers.

“We are waiting inside the terminal building. The staff has not given us boarding pass when asked about the same, they replied in a rude manner. They are not providing us proper information about the delay of the flight. We have no option except to wait for the flight,” said a passenger who has a meeting in Bengaluru on Friday.

Kunal Kumar posted on his Twitter account, “G8 242 late by more than 3 hours. Big drama at Pune airport. Hats off to customer service team for tackling the humiliation.”

Spokesperson of Go Air said, “Flight G8 242 scheduled for ETD 6.40 pm from PNQ to BLR has been rescheduled to 11 pm. This delay has been precipitated by the closure of the runway at Mumbai and cascading ATC congestion due to the said closure. All passengers on the said flight have been taken care off, refreshments are being served and the passengers will be served dinner prior to boarding. There will be no levy of cancellation charges or re-booking fees for this flight for passengers wishing to change their plan.”
