16 passengers injured in accident on E-way

According to the police, 24 devotees were going from Thane to Jejuri in a private bus. Around 4 am, the driver reportedly dozed off following which the bus hit a rock on the left side of the Expressway.

PUNE: Sixteen passengers going for a pilgrimage were injured after the bus they were travelling in, met with an accident near Ozarde on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway in the wee hours of Saturday. The Pune rural police said that eight of them have sustained grievous injuries.

According to the police, 24 devotees were going from Thane to Jejuri in a private bus. Around 4 am, the driver reportedly dozed off following which the bus hit a rock on the left side of the Expressway. Officials from Highway Police, Talegaon police station and IRB rushed the injured passengers to private hospitals in Talegaon and Somatane. 

Of the injured, Anant Rudre, Vaishali Kolte, Ashok Dangat, Mamta Rudre, Reshma Kate and Urmila Gogawale have been admitted to the ICU of a private hospital.
