13th edition of  AISSMS Engineering Today-2018 takes off on Monday

Day one and two will witness technical events in the disciplines of Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Mechanical and Production Engineering organised by the respective Departments.

PUNE: On the occasion of Engineers’ Day, All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s (AISSMS) College of Engineering Pune is organising a three-day Students’ National-level Technical Symposium and Exposition ‘13th AISSMS Engineering Today-2018’ from September 10 to 12. 

Students from various engineering colleges from all over the country will be participating in this mega event. The three-day event will be full of technical competitions like Digimania, Robo Race, CADWAR, Hide-n-C’k, Snaphunt, Marketing Mania, Mad-Ad, Quizo Mania, Poster Competition, Technical paper presentation, the Laser War, Air O Task, Circuit Wizard, Rocket Launcher and FIFA Science Exhibition. More than 50 events have been lined up as a part of the programme. 

Dr AA Natu, Director, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) will inaugurate the 13th AISSMS Engineering Today-2018. 

Day one and two will witness technical events in the disciplines of Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Mechanical and Production Engineering organised by the respective Departments. Malojiraje Chhatrapati, Secretary, AISSMS, Suresh Shinde, Joint Secretary, Ajay Patil Treasurer, Prof NP Mavale, Coordinator and Dr DS Bormanem, Principal will be present on the dais. 

The event is powered by Bank of Baroda and the media partners are Sakal Times and 93.5 Red FM. The event is sponsored by Deccan EduCADD, Shree Engineering, Sparkle Enterprises, Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Royal Enfield, Vidyalankar, Unique Academy and many more. 

Malojiraje Chhatrapati invited students from engineering colleges all over India to participate in large numbers. Excellence Awards distribution ceremony will be held on September 11. 

On day three, that is September 12, a Science Exhibition will be held, which will give information about the technical development in today’s world, application of engineering in a day-to-day life and career opportunities in Engineering to the students. 

The science exhibition will be inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr MC Uttam, former ISRO Scientist.
