100th rose exhibition takes off in city today

This year along with professional rose lovers, amateurs will also get a chance to exhibit their work. The judges will be selected from all parts of Maharashtra. Roses developed by experts from Pune will be the attraction of the event.

Pune: The Rose Society of Pune is holding its 100th Rose Exhibition at Tilak Smarak Mandir on September 29 and 30. 

The exhibition will be inaugurated on September 29 by Pushpa Hegde, President of Poona Women’s Council. Around 200 to 250 kinds of roses in more than 2,500 to 3,000 colours from all over Maharashtra will be exhibited. There will be many stalls which will put up coloured flower plants, garden equipment, organic fertilizers, seeds and pesticides for sale.
