10-yr-old city boy to participate in Dubai Mental Mathematics

Pune: Ten-year-old Rakesh Gupta will be participating in the Dubai Mental Mathematics Competition in Dubai on Saturday. He has been selected from among 72 participants from across India. Twenty eight countries will be participating in the event.

Rakesh is pursuing mental mathematics from the last six months at Genius Kid Academy under the guidance of Neha Gujar and Shalaka Kering. He is also guided by Megh Kashialkar, Sanjyoti Tupe, Aditya Pathak, Riya Bagve, Swarit Verma, Anand Mahajan, Monita Mahajan and Ankita Popade.

Neha said, “Rakesh is participating in the competition for the first time and he is a student of Victoria Educare, Kharadi. He has mastered the art of doing mental calculations in a few seconds. The competition involves three rounds of which the first two rounds are based on complex calculations, while the third round depends upon memorising skills.”
