10-day-old girl kidnapped

According to the Khadki police, the complainant Reshma Shaikh (26) from Bopodi told the police that she had gone to Shevale Hospital in Aundh. While returning, she boarded a shared autorickshaw which was occupied by the accused.

PUNE: A 10-day-old girl child was allegedly kidnapped by an autorickshaw driver and a woman near Bopodi on Wednesday. A case of kidnapping is lodged at Khadki police station.

According to the Khadki police, the complainant Reshma Shaikh (26) from Bopodi told the police that she had gone to Shevale Hospital in Aundh. While returning, she boarded a shared autorickshaw which was occupied by the accused. Later, when the complainant was getting down from the autorickshaw near Harris bridge in Bopodi, she was pushed by the autorickshaw driver and the accused woman. The complainant was shocked and the accused fled with the baby. 

Senior Police Inspector Laxman Borate of Khadki police station said that based on the complaint filed by the victim, a case has been registered and police teams are trying to trace the accused.
