⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠Chakan corporator kidnapped in election dispute

Pune: An independent  corporator  Pravin Shantaram Gore  from the Chakan municipal council  was allegedly  kidnapped  by the relatives  of NCP's municipal council presidential polls candidate .

Gore's Brother Amol  has lodged a complaint with the Chakan Police against one Mandar Deshmukh,  who is brother in law of NCP candidate Vrushali Deshmukh.

Pune: An independent  corporator  Pravin Shantaram Gore  from the Chakan municipal council  was allegedly  kidnapped  by the relatives  of NCP's municipal council presidential polls candidate .

Gore's Brother Amol  has lodged a complaint with the Chakan Police against one Mandar Deshmukh,  who is brother in law of NCP candidate Vrushali Deshmukh.

Elections  for the presidential  post of Chakan Municipal Council is scheduled  on July  14. The tug of war for corporators of respective  sides has intensified for last few days. 15 days ago, Gore along with
other independent Corporators Sudam Shevkari, Prakash Bhujbal and Dheeraj Mute went to Goa for a trip alongwith Mahendra Galphade, the son of BJP corprator  Surekha Galphade. 

All  Corporators were in touch on Mobile with their family  members. But their phones are not reachable since  July 4.On July 10,  Pravin  contacted his home from an unknown  number and informed them that he is in Hyderabad and his cell phone was allegedly taken away by Mandar Deshmukh and he is not allowing him to contact  at home.

He is also alleged to have informed that Deshmukh  is threatening him with dire consequences if he voted against NCP candidate in the election, as per the complaint.

Based on the complaint, Chakan police booked Deshmukh  for kidnapping. Chakan police is investigating the case.
