‘Street to life’ hosts unity run for girl child in Wakad

Socially conscious residents of Sapphire Park in Park Street in Wakad have started the initiative ‘Street to Life’ to realise SSR, ‘Society’s Social Responsibility’ to help the needy including the support staff and domestic help.

PIMPRI: ‘Street to Life’, an initiative of local residents, organised a ‘Unity Run’ in Wakad on Sunday to promote harmony among local residents and also to donate for a social cause.

The cause for this year’s run was health and well-being of underprivileged girl child.

Socially conscious residents of Sapphire Park in Park Street in Wakad have started the initiative ‘Street to Life’ to realise SSR, ‘Society’s Social Responsibility’ to help the needy including the support staff and domestic help.

The Park Street, a mega residential complex in Wakad comprises eight housing societies namely Sapphire Park, Turquoise Park, Titanium Park, Topaz Park, Ruby Park, Emerald Park, Ivory Park, and Diamond Park.

The event was attended by MP Shrirang Barne and local corporators Tushar Kamthe and Mayur Kalate.

The Unity Run, conceived by Anupam Fotedar is executed by a committee including Rajesh Gandhi, Vibhor Garg, Rahul Jain, and Karishma Bansal.

During the previous three years, Street to Life had organised ‘Unity runs’ to help the drought-affected in Marathwada, for infrastructural development of a school of the underprivileged children and for saving rivers.
