‘Provide jobs to kin of victims’

“In the past two days, I visited the families affected by this unfortunate incident and reviewed their situation. The families are devastated. There are requests coming in that a job should be provided to one of the family members of the deceased and also to the family members of the victims, who are seriously injured in the accident,” the letter said.

PUNE: MP Anil Shirole has written a letter to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, requesting him to give a job to one of the family members of the deceased and seriously injured victims in the hoarding frame collapse accident. 

Four persons died and four were critically injured after a massive hoarding fell on around 14 people who were waiting at a traffic signal near Juna Bazaar on Friday. The hoarding frame was on the railway premises near Juna Bazaar. 

“In the past two days, I visited the families affected by this unfortunate incident and reviewed their situation. The families are devastated. There are requests coming in that a job should be provided to one of the family members of the deceased and also to the family members of the victims, who are seriously injured in the accident,” the letter said.

Victim’s daughter gets aid
In the accident, an auto-rickshaw driver, Shivaji Pardeshi, lost his life a day after his wife’s death due to an ailment. Now, the Hind Shakti Social Foundation has come forward to help with his daughter’s education by donating an amount of Rs 25,000 to the family. 

The cheque was handed over to Samrudhhi Pardeshi, daughter of the deceased by Anil Shirole. Also, a donation of Rs 11,000 was given by Vinayak Navyug Mitra Mandal to wife of Umesh More, who was badly injured in the accident. Siddharth Shirole, Director, PMPML, Sunil Pande, Abhijit Modak, Sameer Halad, Nitin Pawar, Nikhil Joshi and RTO Balasaheb Ajari were present.
