Pune: MLA Mahesh Landge on Tuesday instructed the municipal commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) on Metro train running between Nashik Phata and Moshi.
“The municipal authorities also need to complete the project report for extending the Metro route till Nigdi. The Pradhikaran should hand over the land reserved for various projects to the corporation,” Landge added.
He discussed the pending issues in Bhosari constituency. Pimpri-Chinchwad Mayor Nitin Kalje, Standing Committee Chairperson Seema Sawale, Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, Pradhikaran CEO Satish Khadke and Executive Engineer Anil Suryavanshi were present at the meeting held at the municipal commissioner’s office.
Issues regarding Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and Pimpri-Chinchwad New Township Development Corporation (PCNTDC) were discussed at the meeting. Landge added, “Metro will run till Nigdi in the first phase and the corporation is ready to bear the expenditure for it.
Extending Metro line till Moshi will help prevent traffic jams. To develop the area, PCNTDC should hand over the land reserved for developmental projects to us, as soon as possible.”
Some of the suggestions given by Landge include land acquisition at Charholi, Dighi, Dudulwadi, Pathare Mala, Dabhade Vasti, Lohegaon, with due compensation to the owners.
He also suggested construction of 30-metre bridge from Dattanagar to checkpoint in Dighi. Landge also suggested bringing the construction of skating ground in Bhosari Indrayaninagar to international standards.
He called the construction of a Waste-to-Energy project in Moshi, owing to the increasing garbage issue in the area.
Municipal Commissioner Hardikar said, “We have sent proposals to Pradhikaran for handing over the proposed lands. Land acquisition has started in all reserved areas. We will try our best to speed up all developmental work as per Landge’s instructions.”
