There is a women safety committee in every village and it meets every month to address the issues of women security.

The Nirbhaya Squad has been given spy cameras to record activities of anti-social elements and take action against them. Police have identified 2,360 hotspots across the district to keep watch. To rein in crime against women, police will extern criminals with two cases against them.

Also, the phone number of a male and female cop (Police Kaka/Kaki) from every police station will be shared with the students, who can contact them if anybody troubles them.

Safe environment for entrepreneurs
“We have prepared a list of 110 anti-social elements. Soon, we will take action against them under the stringent laws like MCOCA and MPDA. We are updating ‘Gunda (goon) Register’ at the police station level,” Patil added.
