Pune: Shiv Sena MP and spokesperson Sanjay Raut said that the BJP is worried about the triple talaq issue more than its own leaders making irresponsible statements about women and that only if Uddhav Thackeray becomes the Chief Minister, will there will be hope for any ‘Acche Din’. He was addressing Shiv Sena activists and office bearers at Narayangaon as part of his pre-election party-building tour of the district.

Raut attacked its ally in power, the BJP, keeping in line with the constant criticism put forward by party chief Uddhav Thackeray, as part of a pressure tactic. “The BJP talks of women empowerment and solving women’s issues and focused on Triple Talaq, but it does not notice its own MLA and leaders making irresponsible and insulting statements against women,” Raut said, adding, “If a Shiv Sena member had made any such statement, he would have been punished. Only Uddhav Thackeray as a CM can bring Acche Din.”

Raut also said that this time around, there will be no chaos in the distribution of tickets to candidates like the last time in Junnar. He said that the Junnar, Ambegaon talukas will see Shiv Sena achieving victory and that there will be no change in the candidacy after it has already been announced. While speaking at another such programme at Wagholi, Raut attacked the other opposition parties too.

“No matter how many parties come and go, the Shiv Sena has maintained its stature. The next elections will see to it that the Shiv Sena will come to power in the State,” Raut said, adding, “All other parties are just groups of political agents. The people have come to recognise them for that. The people will surely show them their place and these agents will be defeated.”
