“When I used to draw, my children Adarsha and Aryan used to watch and this created interest in them for brush and paints. I started providing them with watercolours, papers and other material after I saw their interest and urged them to make paintings. My father, brother and I, we all are in the painting field, so naturally, there was an environment in the house. My children started participating in Sakal Drawing Competition and it increased their horizons. Later, Adarsha won the first prize, while Aryan won second prize in the competition. This encouraged and motivated them. And this could be possible only because of Sakal providing such a platform,” said Raman Lohar from Gadhinglaj, Kolhapur.

BRING YOUR OWN COLOURS
Like every year, the participants will be provided with drawing paper. However, they will have to bring the colours with them. The information regarding the centres for registrations will be provided through the newspapers shortly. An exhibition of the paintings of the winners of the competition will also be held.
